| Enigmatic Namibia. Distant Horizons
A country of vivid contradictions and stark beauty, where undulating desert tumble over towering dunes to meet a tempestuous coastline. This is the 'Country of Contrasts' and consists of diverse landscapes, unique people, big vistas, ample sunshine and a considerable amount of wildlife. Namibia contains some of the greatest wonders of the natural world such as the oldest desert on earth, the Namib Desert. |

Namibia Safari Tours are the best way to see that this is not just arid country. The dry, hot coastline meets the icy waters of the Atlantic creating a spectacular ecology not seen elsewhere in the world. |

|
Fly-In Safaris are a matter of course. Owing to great distances, many safari lodges are best reached by air - unless you want to drive. Fly up the Skeleton coast or out into the deep desert. Flights leave from Windhoek |
 |
|
Safari on the Etosha Pan. With all its waterholes, both natural, and man-made, this is often the only source of water keeping animals alive. Elephant herds, lion, hyena and clouds of flamingo make this a most rewarding game viewing destination. |

| Places to Visit
Cape Cross Seal Colony. The breeding place of the Cape Fur Seal, which is actually a species of Sea Lion. Along the Namibian and South African coast there are 24 colonies with a seal population of about 650 000 animals. About 80 000 to 100 000 seals inhabit Cape Cross.
Fish River Canyon. Apart from being the second larges canyon in the world this is a great bird viewing opportunities. Birdlife is prolific with well over 60 species such as Herons, hammerkops, Egyptian Geese, Plovers and Wagtails.
Skeleton Coast lies on Namibia's far north-west coast. Littered with long-forgotten ships, each with a story of man against nature. You may think that animals could not survive here but you would be wrong. The foggy coastline with its most singular eco-system, is entirely dependent on the cold sea breeze from the Antarctic Benguela current to provide the mist which substitutes for rain.
Sossussvlei. Things you will see no where else. With its 1000m high dunes, shines red and orange during the day. At night, the clearest skies allow you to see falling meteorites ever few minutes, as well as sattelites passing over in high orbit. Some lodges have rooftop stargazing platforms for a night under the stars.
