What you can expect from this 5 day Etosha Safari tour:
On this Namibia safari tour you will have the opportunity to view Elephant, Giraffe, Lion and Mountain Zebra in the famous Etosha National Park. Your tour concludes by a return to Windhoek via Okahandja, the former tribal centre of Herero people. You will be accommodated in restcamps and lodges.
Day 1: Outjo, Namibia
Drive via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo to Outjo to the famous Etosha National Park where you will enjoy a game drive in the late afternoon. Overnight at Okaukuejo Restcamp. Dinner. Breakfast.
Day 2: Etosha National Park, Namibia
Full day of game viewing in the Etosha National Park, which is one of the major sanctuaries of wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size of the park is 22 270 km (13838.5 miles) and it consists mainly of grass and bush savannah.
This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge with breakfast.
Day 3: Etosha National Park, Namibia
You will spend the day at the Etosha Pan, which the park is named after, is approximately 6000km (3728.4 miles) in size. In the language of the Owambo people, Etosha means 'place of dry water' or 'large white place'. Enjoy a game viewing drive after breakfast until late afternoon. Overnight at Mokuti Lodge during your Namibia safari tour. Breakfast.
Day 4: Otjiwarongo, Namibia
After breakfast drive to Tsumeb, visit Lake Otjikoto and the Mine Museum. Proceed via Otjiwarongo to Mount Etjo. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon. Overnight at Mount Etjo Safari Lodge. Dinner. Breakfast.
Day 5: Return to Windhoek
Return to Windhoek via Okahandja, the former tribal centre of Herero people. Visit the graves of the great Herero chiefs and the old cemetery with graves of members of the German Schutz-truppe.
