What you can expect from this 7 day South Safari Tour:
On this Namibia safari tour you will drive from the beautiful town of Windhoek, visiting the oldest Karakul weavery of Namibia in Dordabis. In Keetmanshoop you will be able to see the famous Kokerboom (quiver tree).
A visit to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world is a definite must. You will also get the opportunity to explore and learn about the town of Luderitz. Accommodation for this tour will be in both lodges, rest camps and hotels.

Day 1: Windhoek, NamibiaYou will drive from Windhoek via Dordabis (you will visit the oldest Karakul weavery of Namibia), Uhlenhorst and Stampriet to the Auob Lodge. Overnight at Stoney's Country Hotel. Dinner. Breakfast.

Day 2: Keetmanshoop, NamibiaDrive along the Auob River, via Koes and visit to the Kokerboom (quivertree) to Keetmanshoop. Proceed past the Naute Dam to the Canon Lodge. Overnight at Canon Lodge. Dinner. Breakfast.

Day 3: Fish River Canyon, NamibiaVisit the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon of the world during this Namibia safari tour. This gigantic ravine, in places almost 500 metres (1640 feet) deep, has been gorged out of vast undulating plain in the course of thousands of years.
Proceed to Lüderitz via Seeheim and Aus. This drive takes you through intriguing Moon Landscape of endless desert vistas and bizarre rock formations. Overnight at Nest Hotel. Breakfast.

Day 4: Luderitz, NamibiaThe day is spent in Lüderitz. The first German settlement in Namibia, named after the merchant Adolf Lüderitz from Bremen, who bought this area from the Hottentots in 1883. This small harbour town is perched on rugged black rock, offset by the deep blue waters of the bay, and is surrounded by bays, coves and fjords.
During the morning visit to the 'ghost town' of Kolmanskop where diamonds were first discovered in Namibia. Afterwards sightseeing in and around Lüderitz. Overnight at Nest Hotel. Breakfast.

Day 5: Aus, NamibiaDrive back through the restricted diamond area to Aus and the scenic Neisip Plain during this Namibia safari tour. Overnight at Hammerstein Lodge. Dinner. Breakfast.

Day 6: Sossusvlei, NamibiaIn the early morning depart to an excursion to the Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei, a large clay pan in the centre of the Namib Desert, surrounded by the highest sand dunes in the world. In the late afternoon take part in a spectacular dune drive including a sundowner on top of the dunes. Overnight at Namib Desert Lodge. Dinner. Breakfast.

Day 7: Windhoek, NamibiaDrive via Reemhoogte Pass and Rehoboth to the Oanob Dam. You will return to Windhoek. Arrival in the late afternoon.
