3 day Sossusvlei Tour, Namibia

Days 1 & 2: Sesriem / Sossusvlei

Upon departing Windhoek you will experience the ever-changing landscapes as you continue past the Naukluft massif and into the pro-Namib. An early start is imperative, as this is not only the coolest part of the day but the best for photography.

Your journey takes you to the famous Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Observe the fauna and flora that inhabits this region. 

Time will be taken to explore the impressive sandstone gorges of the Sesriem Canyon, with its rock pools fed by the Tsauchab, the same river that feeds Sossusvlei during the rainy season. To draw water from the pools, early travellers had to tie a bucket to six (ses) ox thongs (rieme) lashed together, hence the name, Sesriem.

Return to the lodge for lunch. During the afternoon join a guided nature / sunset drive to the Marble Mountains or relax at the lodge. You will stay at Namib Naukluft Lodge on Day 1: Dinner only. On Day 2, you will stay at Namib Desert Lodge: Breakfast, Lunch. Dinner.

Day 3: Return to Windhoek

After a leisurely breakfast you will return to Windhoek at approximately 12h30pm,  where your Namibia tour ends with a transfer to your hotel. Breakfast is included.
